Exhibitions, theater, or sports to celebrate and demand equality between women and men

The march for equality focuses on activities for a claim and a festive weekend where the celebration of the day’s tortilla was suspended due to rain.

The march will start on Saturday at 10:00 in Loranca JMD and at 11:00 in Plaza de España. Both groups will meet at Plaza de la Constitución.

After the march, if weather conditions allow it, the tribute to organizations and entertainment will take place at Plaza de la Constitución for the enjoyment of all participants. If it is not possible to do it outdoors, the tribute would be transferred to the Local Council City Hall.

Later at 6:00 pm, epic and revengeful games will take place at the young space, the market, «Meeple Girls». And at 8:00 pm, at the Tomás y Valiente Theater, «At the end of the party», a musical-emotional anthology starring Mamen García. A piece that talks about the humor of being a woman in these times.

Today marks a new edition of «Enter my train» This time, at Plaza Bogotá (in case of bad weather, it will move to the Civic Center, or advance to the Cave), with a workshop and puppet show «The great Fuenli family», starting at 5:30 pm.

Sunday, March 9, will start with the Petanque Championship for equality at 8:00 am, at the headquarters of the Cerro Alto Petanque Club.

Afterward, at 7:00 pm, we will enjoy «Dance in harmony» with the Guzmán Dance Project of the Company, presenting a mixed program for enjoying neoclassical and contemporary dance at the Tomás y Valiente Theater.

All this without forgetting the Exhibitions that we can visit in different parts of the city, showcasing the role of women in different social aspects: «Women’s Comet» at the Loranca Cultural Center, «Female Professions» at the Peace Cultural Center, and «Forgotten Paintings» and an exhibition at Ana María Datutes in JMD Loranca-Nuevo Versailes-Parque Miraflores.

Although activities scheduled around Saint Juana’s day had to be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, throughout the weekend, we can taste a wide variety of tortillas at different Fuenlabreño stores participating in the Fair La Tortilla.

Furthermore, the exhibitions at the gallery are still open to a large audience, «The Treasures of Egypt», «The process as the only reality», «transfigured landscapes», «the earth» and the impact art collective exhibition.
