The national police dismantled a network dedicated to counterfeiting brand underwear in the industrial property of a Cobo Calleja (Fuenlabrada) after an investigation that began in October of last year and ended with the arrest of two individuals. The agents confiscated 8,000 pieces of fake clothing, exact replicas of original products that reported losses of 61,000 euros to the legitimate industry.
According to a press release from the top police headquarters in Madrid, distributors continuously transferred the clothing between different units to avoid detection by authorities, complicating tracking efforts.
Three ships intervened
After making progress in the investigation, authorities located three industrial ships where the clothing was stored and prepared for distribution. On February 11th, three simultaneous raids were carried out, resulting in the seizure of counterfeit clothing.
