El Parque Loranca de Fuenlabrada se cierra temporalmente debido a las malas condiciones de las carreteras

Parque de Loranca

The Fuenlabrada Municipal Council will proceed to close Loranca Park due to its impractical conditions caused by the heavy rainfall in recent days, compounded by the weather forecast for the upcoming hours.

Located at the entrance of Loranca, the park spans 4,000 square meters of lawn and 8,000 hectares of meadows, along with a large lake that not only serves as a scenic element but also functions as a temperature regulator for the neighborhood, providing the necessary humidity.

«We hope to reopen it as soon as possible,» stated the council, who also had to cancel the festive program planned for the holiday celebration. Santa Juana’s Day, popularly known as the «tortilla day,» had to be postponed due to the adverse weather conditions expected.

The Municipal Council has arranged activities in various parts of the city, including the preparation and distribution of a large 2,000 portions at Plaza de España, inflatable castles, entertainment, and music at Pradera de Valdeserrano, at Loranca Walk, and at the Human Rights Park.

Fuenlabrada Cancels Tortilla Day Again Ahead of Weather Forecast

«We waited as long as possible to see if the forecast changed at the last minute, but it seems that won’t happen and we had to suspend the outdoor activities program we had organized,» said the Culture Councillor, Cristina Mora.
