Once again, the municipal council of FUENLABRADA had to suspend the planned activities to celebrate the Day of Tortilla or Santa Juana, one of the city’s most rooted traditions.
The weather forecast for this weekend forced the local administration to take this precautionary measure.
Due to the adverse weather conditions expected for Sunday, March 9th, it was suspended but the festive program was not canceled; it will be rescheduled for other dates, as indicated by the culture department.

The local council organized, as in other occasions, a giant tortilla transaction of 2,000 at Plaza de España, inflatable castles, workshops, children’s games, animation, and music at Pradera de Valdeserrano, Paseo de Loranca, and at the Parque de Derechos Humanos.
Tortilla Despite the Rain
The Tortilla Day is suspended, but the Tortilla Fair continues to take place in the city, including this weekend.
More than 60 units participate in this gastronomic contest organized by the Municipal Council and the Hotel Association.
Bars and participating restaurants provide a tortilla for 1.75 euros (optional for two servings or tapas).
